History
Jezlaine jewelry was founded in 1975. For a company whose entire history spanned a little over 20 years, there isn’t much varying information.
Owner and founder Robin McVey began her small business out of her Albuquerque, New Mexico garage. In an April 1995 interview, McVey told New Mexico Woman Magazine that she used her own savings to build the business as no bank would lend her money which she attributed to a bias against businesswomen.
Jezlaine’s focus was on sterling silver cast jewelry and the company made good quality brooches, charms, pendants, earrings, and bracelets. Jezlaine created a series of collections, such as for holidays, all made of sterling silver.
In 1999, Sunstone Imports acquired Jezlaine. TSI Holding Company purchased Sunstone in 2003.
Collecting Jezlaine Jewelry
Jezlaine jewelry was marked Jez, 925 Jez, Jezlaine or Jezlaine Sterling. The Jez mark has been considered dead since October 21, 1998 according to USPTO records.
Jezlaine jewelry is popular but plentiful therefore keeping prices reasonable. Expect to see prices on par with average sterling market prices.
